This is a cute bookcase, a perfect fantasy piece. I bought it for my 7 year old step-daughter. i thought it was easy to assemble, it was sturdy, and looked great. it was of good quality for the price and i was not disappointed. my husband even said it looked great. definately something to make a young girl feel very special. as far as "no covers" for the hardware as another reviewer mentioned, the screw ends are painted the same colors as the bookcase so they don't stand out. (and your princess could care less about whether or not screws show in the bookcase.) final verdict: loved it!
